Help Reduce Water Consumption… Is your water bill more then your mortgage?
Most Water Districts will pay you up to $450.00 in rebates to make your system more water efficient ! Who Qualifies: In a nut shell, customers who have their system tuned-up by a certified sprinkler contractor like Aquasense and then upgrade their systems to include either Rain Sensors or new technology controllers qualify for the rebate. By our estimate more then 70% of all sprinkler controllers installed today are qualified for the rebate. Additionally anyone who does not have a rain sensor installed on their system qualifies for a $100.00 rebate. Why: Your local Water District in conjunction with Seattle Public Utilities and Cascade Water Alliance have teamed up in an effort to reduce water usage by 10% throughout the greater Seattle area. They want their customers to keep their landscapes green and healthy and at the same time reduce water consumption. They believe this goal can be met by utilizing a combination of new technology, education, and professional assistance. The goal is to reduce the peak water consumption period June, July and August by 10% thus eliminating the need to build another water shed and increase the size of the existing infrastructure. Meeting this goal will save them Millions of dollars in the years ahead, thus the reason they are willing to offer such large rebates. From what I have heard these are some of the biggest rebates offered in the nation but there is no guarantee they will last. How: To qualify for a rebate you are required to have a certified irrigation contractor like Aquasense do a tune-up on your system. The tune-up includes inspecting the main line and lateral lines of the system for leaks and making needed repairs; checking all sprinkler heads for proper operation including proper alignment, rotation, radius, nozzle type, and flow. Additionally heads are checked for misting caused by excessive pressure, 80 PSI or higher. After the tune-up is complete we install either a new state of the art Rain Bird ESP M type controller and or a Rain Bird Wireless Rain Sensor or a WeatherMatic Smartline controller with a weather station. The paper work for your rebate is filled out by us; all we need from you is your water district account number and your signature on the form. When you get the bill from us, make a copy of it and mail it and the rebate form to the address on the form. Also make sure you keep your old controller until your water district has verified the installation took place. Rebates & Costs: Rebate amounts are between $50 and $375 dollars depending on what upgrade you choose. The simplest rebate involves installation of a rain sensor after we complete a tune-up on your system. As an example, an Irritrol wireless rain sensor can be installed (parts, labor and sales tax if installed during the tune-up) for around $135.00 and you get a $75.00 rebate, which means you get a wireless rain sensor installed for as low as $60.00. With the cost of water these days that $60.00 can easily be recouped in one season. Upgrade almost any sprinkler controller and receive a $50.00 rebate. Install a controller that automatically adjusts run times for the actual weather and get up to $375 back depending on the number of zones in your system.
